S/o weight..

Do you find you're typically thinner in the summer vs winter months? I always am though it seems to be my eating/exercise habits are better in the winter. In the summer I drink too much ice coffee with cream and sugar and soda. I don't work out at the gym. We do lots of takeout since i don't like cooking in the heat and we don't have central air. This summer we've been less active than usual since dd has been sick so often and I'm still at my "typical" summer weight. I swear I'm like a bear and gain weight in the winter for survival or something. Haha.

  • I do better in winter. In the summer I'm too relaxed and just want to enjoy the ease of summer. That includes a lot of BBQs, beer, and frothy adult beverages lol I lay off in the winter. I have SAD so taking care of myself is a huge deal for me in winter.

  • I usually gain 2-3 lbs in the winter, yeah. But I'm definitely more active and eat better in the summer, which is the opposite of you. In the summer we're out and about everywhere, swimming at the lake, camping, hiking, etc, and we eat tons of fruit, salads, veggies... just lighter stuff. In the winter it's harder to get outside to be active, and I crave baked goods and comfort food.

  • I do much better in the winter than summer, especially now with kids. Too many events with food, busy schedule- so we eat out more often, and too many ice cream/popsicle temptations. : )

See, we do more of that kind of stuff in the fall/spring. In the summer when its 95 with high humidity there's no hiking. Lol. We do swimming at pools/beaches and such but with two small kids that's not as much of a physical workout than say doing the bike at the gym with hills and stuff.
