It's only been a month since I said goodbye to the 2IF board, after DH and I decided to discontinue fertility treatments and effectively give up for good. We put it behind us, and were shocked to find ourselves pregnant, the very first month after "giving up!" We're still in shock, actually!
I went in Friday (14dpo) for beta #1, and it was 183. Went in today (Monday, 17dpo), and beta #2 was at 611, so it's doubling. We have an ultrasound Friday to make sure it's not another ectopic.
I got so much support on this board for six months, and just had to let you ladies know. It turned out all those annoying people who said, just relax and it will happen (or it will happen as soon as you give up) were right this time. Just thought I would pass this on, in hopes it gives you ladies some hope. It really helped me to hear stories of surprise bfps. Best of luck to all of you, and I will keep lurking and praying for you all!

3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.
4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.
5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.
Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN. After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.
August 16, 2013: BFP our first month of "not trying!" Still in shock. Beta #1 (14dpo): 183. Beta #2 (17dpo): 611. Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm!
Ultrasound 9/13/13: 8 weeks, heart rate of 176!

Your numbers sound great! Have a wonderful next 9 months! Congrats!
Oh - forgot to ask- what clued you in? Any symptoms?

KC1212, I started to get a hunch while we were on a camping trip early last week. I'm almost always spotting by 10dpo. But, this cycle, I had small bloody streaks in my CM on 8dpo and 9dpo, and then it vanished. That NEVER happens. 10dpo, 11dpo, 12dpo all came and went with no spotting whatsoever. And my boobs started to get sore around 9dpo, which only ever happened when I was on Letrozole (I think because of the multiple follicles each month) or when I've been pregnant. Also, I was super constipated (sorry, TMI) which usually doesn't happen to me.
I didn't say a word to DH at all, petrified I would jinx us! I forced myself to wait until 14dpo, and voila.... a dark line! Other symptoms have started to come on now..... queasiness here and there, mouth watering a lot, shortness of breath, and having to pee every hour and even during the night.
Thanks again for the positive vibes. I hope there is a flurry of bfps on this board!

5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
1/13 - Referred to an RE
2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
