I almost forgot.... (PIP)

Because of our chaos with the crazy rash (which btw completely disappeared when she woke up from her late afternoon nap today - geez it's the weirdest damn thing!), I almost forgot that we had some major firsts!!

Yesterday right before the rash incident, Ava took her very first steps all by herself! I guess I always imagined (or hoped) she would take them trying to walk over to me the numerous times I held out my arms to her saying "come to mummy!". Nope. She took a few steps towards one of our chickens in the backyard. I guess the chicken is more interesting. (I didn't get it on video but I did get a photo of it!)

Then this morning she said "mama" for the first time and I almost fell over. She says "dada" about a hundred times a day but never "mama" no matter how hard I tried.

And she said "bye" for the first time too - a couple days ago. Actually she said it to Meow and Kiera when we were leaving the fair.  :)

Anyone else have any "firsts" recently that you'd like to share?

    Yay!  They are growing up too fast!  My LO said Mama for the first time last weekend.  She has said Dada for months now but nothing even close to mama.  This weekend she finally said it!  She also learned how to climb into a chair.  It is a low chair on our back poach and it took her 10 minutes to wiggle her way onto it.  She was so proud she was sitting in the big chair.
