how quickly can your Pedi see you/LO?

If you call to schedule for your LO, how quickly can your office see you?

At the urgent care over the weekend they said to make sure LO is seen Monday by his regular Doc. I call to schedule and not one physician in the entire office has an appt until weds evening. Argh! Just curious if its just our office that is always like this or if its normal.

This exactly. What good is the pedi if they can't see him when he's sick?

Yea the scheduler transfered me to the front desk & said to make sure they fit me in and she said nope. I'm going to call & see if I can talk to the nurse. I thought they were supposed to save appts too.

Appointments are set aside for sick visits. I've never called needing to get her in because she was sick and had to wait. We generally get her doc but sometimes it's the NP. There are 5 docs at our practice and 1 NP that take appointments.

We use a family doc but he's always worked in the kids if need be. Now, there's a solid 45 min wait if you're a work in

It's really odd to me that they would all be booked. Maybe if it was flu season or something but it doesn't sound like they have very good office management if they have zero sick appointments set aside.

Same here. We have had next day/same day appointments a couple of times with our pedi.

I just called a friend who works at the clinics other location and she magically got us in at 415 woohoo!

If he is sick they can usually see him same day however for routine appts we have to schedule a month or so in advance.

Our pedi is in practice by herself and we can ALWAYS get in the same day. I have even had her tell me to meet her in the office on a couple of weekends and a holiday.

Same as PPs, my pedi always keeps time open during the day for the sick patients. I've always called in the morning for Taylor's sick visits and get in by the afternoon. It helps that she has a practitioner and a resident there who take appointments also.

Usually same day... But that's (I think) because I usually call in the morning, my H called yesterday afternoon and wasn't able to get her one until today.
