J is EBF and like jayro, the duration of nap depends on held or not held. The past few days LO has slept about 30 mins once or twice in the morning but then has a 2-3 hr nap in the afternoon. He just seems so excited in the morning that he doesn't Like to sleep much.

M has started taking one long nap each day, over 2 hours, then another hour plus nap, and various shorter ones. She is EBF and 11 weeks. I know tons of BF babies who nap well!
Usually one good nap 1.5-2 hours once a day. The rest are 30-60 minutes. EBF.
You have to remember that people were told formula was better when most of us were growing up and if someone has believed that for many years, it is hard to change her mind.

EBF and naps are an hour+ if I hold her, 30 minutes if I put her down.
For mhy LO, holding vs not holding is the biggest determiner in how long a nap lasts!
I forgot to mention my LO is the same. If I am holding him I can get a 2 hour nap out of him. I should ask her theory on that since he "isnt getting real food to keep him full enough to sleep."
LO has been on formula from the start. She used to take naps lasting up to 3 hours but now they are down to 40 minutes. I wish your "irritating mother" was right -- my house used to be so clean!
EBF- two catnaps in the AM, a long afternoon/early evening usually around 3.5-4hrs (I wake up at 4 hours or by 5:00pm so not to interfere with bed time). Then maybe one catnap in the PM before bedtime routine that starts around 7:15.
I'm actually an early June mom (6/3), but I figured you wouldn't mind if I replied. My LO is mostly formula fed, although he does get a bottle or two of breast milk a day. He rarely naps more than an hour once he gets up for the day.
Re: Short naps poll
Same. Occasionally we will get a 2 hour nap but its usually the day after a stimulating day before...
