last baby?

Is your new LO your last baby? How are you coping? My LO will be 5 months on 8/22 and she is our last one. We have 4 girls and I got a tubal during my C-section and i am regretting it now!

Re: last baby?

  • This Lo is our first, and we want to hopefully have 3.
  • This LO was going to be my one and done but she is SO amazing (hardly cries, sleeps 10+ hours a night with one or no wakings since 6 wks, giggles like crazy...) that I may have another. But then again, the likelihood of lucking out with 2 awesome, mellow babies seems slim so we'll see.

  • Eh, we keep going back and forth. She is our first but I am 39 and DH is 43. LO is awesome, super easy baby so she makes us want another BUT the likelihood of having 2 easy babies is slim plus we travel a ton and know with 2 that would probably change. Oh yeah and I'm old so I think we're done. We decided to make the final decision when she is a year old.

We're planning on one more, but I can definitely foresee how circumstances could dictate we stop after 1.

  • We have two and we're done. I'm incredibly lucky that DS2 has been an incredibly easy baby, but I'm still ready to start living my life outside of 3 hour blocks of time, and just start doing stuff, like go on vacations. DS1 got to the age where he was great for vacation and then we had DS2 and I feel like we're kind of stuck for a couple more years, so I don't want that to happen again. Plus, daycare here is insanely expensive, and I am not cut out to be a SAHM.
  • We have 2 now... I want at least one more... DH likes even numbers.

    DS1 -6/25/11

    DS2 -3/23/13

    Missed MC D&C 8/26/14

    DD - 8/26/15

    LO#4 due 5/30/17

  • it has not been easy since I found out I was pregnant.  It is exhausting and not always fun but I definitely want at least 1 more maybe 2.   I was an only child which definitely had its perks but I would have loved to have a sibling.

I love having a little one and it makes me sad that she is already so big.  Personally, I don't mind the bad as much as I love the good.  Everyone needs to figure out what is good for them and what makes them happy.  If that is 1 and done or 10 kids its personal and sometimes difficult decision to make.  No matter what your decision is try to enjoy and remember to good times and block out the rip your hair out times.

  • I have baby fever and I can't believe it. LO has not been easy, but both my husband and I were super close age wise to our siblings.
  • 99.999999% sure she's our last.  To be honest, its lovely getting rid of all the stuff she's outgrowing, but I'm also kinda sad because she's growing soooo fast.  (I have a 2 year old also, this morning I was driving and thinking, maybe I'll have another when I'm 35, I wanted to smack myself.  We'd be in serious financial trouble!)

It is so sad. I was fine getting rid of clothes, but today I was going through the teeny tiny socks and actually cried because he's getting so big already. Later on though, Andrew started trying to roll over (finally) and I can't wait to see him grow even more. Craziness.

  • DH and I would both love to have another. I really enjoyed my pregnancy but had a lot of complications during Labor and delivery. Ended up having a horrible CSecetion (spinal wore off during the surgery!) and knowing I will probably have to have another REALLY scares me. Will probably decide when DD is about a year.
