anyone else have to feed under a cover all the time?

The only successful feedings we have are at night otherwise DD looks all over the place. 2 sucks then she pops off looks around and goes back. 3 more sucks and she is off again. Today she even grabbed a paci off the bed and popped it in her mouth and then looked at me and laughed. I've tried dark rooms but thats not always possible so I have to wear a cover even when we are alone. And if I dare make eye contact with her she laughs hysterically and I can't keep a straight face so it turns into a game. We make up for these missed feedings at 3 am

Re: anyone else have to feed under a cover all the time?

  • DD does that, but she refuses to eat under a cover. She starts to pull and tug on the cover.   She take 2 sucks, pops off and I spray everywere.  I have been using three burp clothes to keep things clean. One I tuck into my bra and drape down over my shirt, one I lay over her and the other I use to wipe off and catch the milk as it flies everywhere.  She loes it, when she comes off and I am spray she squeals with excitement.  DH thinks its the cutest thing ever, and it is, but it so messy. So I am no help

  • We are kind of there.  I usually have to have my DH switch spots on the couch depending on which side LO is nursing on, because LO will just pop off to stare at his daddy.  Often while licking my nipple.  Which is hysterical.
