  35w1d and nothing new to report. OB and MFM appointments this week.
  
  QOTW: Best thing- feeling two babies move inside me. It's still so surreal! Also don't mind the frequent u/s to see the babies!
  
  Worst thing- all the aches and pains, and the stares I get when I go out in public.

  Checking in: I will be 30 weeks tomorrow! YAY for another milestone!
  I had an u/s on Friday for growth and to check on my SCH. They couldn't find the SCH (horray!) but that's happened before and it was just so tiny and in between the babies sacks so I'm trying not to be too overjoyed. Both babies are doing well - Baby A is now breach so it looks as though we're probably going to go the c-section route. There is still time for him to turn so we'll see.
  
  I started having this very intense pain in my left shoulder on Saturday, woke up with it Sat. morning didn't feel it all day and then at dinner it hurt so much for a few minutes I was crying. On-call OB said it's probably just from all the pressure, someone (or a lot of gas) is pressing on my diaphragm which has a nerve ending in the shoulder. She didn't seem too worried but I'm going to have my OB check everything out on Wednesday at my regular appt.
  
  QOTW: Best thing is probably all the movement! I love feeling them move around and try to guess who is who. Also some of the reactions I get from people when I tell them I'm having twins is priceless. Some not so much but some are kind of funny.
  
  Worst thing is probably the discomfort - I've been getting more and more uncomfortable and this weekend with my shoulder pain I'm feeling a little discouraged with how I'm going to be feeling for the remaining 8 weeks or so.

  17.5 weeks today. 

  
  

  Dr. appt tomorrow. I started feeling them last week and the last few days I am really feeling them a ton! Its fun, like little taps. I was very stressed with work though and I am worried that that is what is causing them to be so excited, so trying to remember to just relax and smile. Things at work calmed down so all is good

  Frankly I think the worry - I know I would probably worry with just one, too. However, I think the constant doctors appointments are reminding me to be worried, if that makes sense.

  I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow. Feeling pretty good still. I'm on bed rest, though! When I do have to be up, even for short periods of time, my body protests! My actual hips, not pelvis, hurt! I suppose that is the worst part. Being on bed rest and feeling so rough if I do get up. Best part is the get-out-of-jail-free card of multiple pregnancy! LOL Everyone is very accommodating and careful with me...cuz I'm fragile and pregnant with twins! And I can pretty much eat an entire pie without anyone batting an eyelash! LOL All the movement is fun, too.

  Update: 22w1d with twin girls (Ali is you want to update above with their sex, feel free)

  I'm actually feeling REALLY good. Girls looked great at my MFM on Thursday and are each measuring 14oz (that's almost 2 pounds of baby). My cervix was also still looking great in the 3.6 range. On Friday my Upsie Belly support belt came in the mail and I've been wearing it most of the time ever since. Saturday I was able to take DD shopping, get a pedicure and clean the bathroom. All things that would have caused my pelvic bone to be screaming. So if you're having pelvic pain, give a support belt a try. I ordered mine from Amazon and its by Belly Bandit.

  QOTW: I was actually thinking today how much I love the reaction of people when they ask if I'm having a boy or a girl. When I say two girls, it usually takes them a second to comprehend what I've said. I think its pretty funny.

  Worst part is the pelvic pain (thank God for some relief with this support belt) and the constant worrying of PTL, babies size, cervix length, etc.

  I'll be 34 weeks on Wed.  My weeks are now taken up by multiple appointments.  Most weeks, its just 2.  My weekly OB appointment and my weekly NSTs.  This week though, we throw in an ultrasound.  :-)  I don't mind though, I know my boys are inside and where they should be, and that's the reason for all of these appointments.  :-)  At last weeks OB visit (I'm getting weekly internals...oh the joy ::sarcasm!!::) I was 1 cm but the boys were still high.  :-)  I'm praying for at least another 2 weeks out of these boys and I'm praying that they are still both head down.  So, any thoughts, prayers and vibes for me are appreciated.  Haha.  Other than that, my hubby starts "working" again this week (he's a teacher) and all of the "help" I had while he was home with us (he cuts lawns during the summers to keep himself busy) is gone now.  Soooo...yeah.  I'm feeling a little nervous/anxious that I'm going to go into labor while he's working and then not be able to get in touch with him.  (I had this really random dream about this happening back in April or May so that's what factoring into this irrational fear.)  

  
  

  QOTW:  Best part...being Doubly Blessed!!  2 movers and shakers inside of me, growing, feeling them when they decide to do their thing in there.  Worst Part... I have to agree with PP, the worry/stress.  Will I make it to term, how long will they have to be in the NICU (if at all), how will I handle 2 newborns and my other 2 kids?  Things like that.  Always worrying about something.  Not that it gets much better once they are here, but definitely the worry.

  22 weeks on thursday! Not much change still on modified bed rest and this week my cervix lost a whole cm so had to spend a few days in the hospital found out I was contracting ever 3 minutes without feeling it so I got the lovely T-shot and was very shaky. Babies are doing great and tomorrow we go see the perinatologist to do a growth check. This pregnancy is flying by and bed rest is boring but each passing week is exciting! I dont know if i mentioned last week but c-section set for dec 11 if they dont get here before that. Both are head down so praying i go into labor on my own a day or two before my section! 

  
  

  QOTW: best part would be how different it is having two in there. Its a feeling not many get to experience and I feel so blessed to be able to be one of them. Worst: my body hates me haha its terribly uncomfortable and theres so much baby in there i just cant imagine another 22 weeks of this!

  20.5 weeks here today (still can't get my signature changed to reflect my new due date though). Feeling pretty good and have a MFM appointment on Thursday so am excited to see the little ones. My cervix is getting checked every two weeks so I briefly see them then but this week is my monthly appointment so I will get a good look when they are measured, etc. 

  
  

  Also went to my local MOMS bi-annual sale over the weekend and scored a lot of great stuff for about 1/3 of retail price (Chicco keyfit 30 car seats with 4 bases, strollers, pack-n-play, activity mats, high chairs, and a brand new Skip Hop Duo Double diaper bag). Everything was in really good condition, so I was thrilled by my finds. What a wonderful resource!

  
  

  QOTW: 

  Best part - knowing that my children will have siblings. I have four older brothers and loved having siblings. After our fertility struggles, I didn't know if we would even be able to have one, much less enough that they would have a sibling. And the fact that we are having a boy and a girl is just icing on the cake.

  
  

  Worst part - also agree with the stress and uncertainty of being pregnant with multiples. 

  BFP #1 on 12/15/11 but missed m/c with d&c on 2/1/12.

  BFP #2 on 5/1/13 = boy/girl TWINS with EDD of 1/3/14 but expected no later than 12/20/13.

  I am new to this forum. I am currently 18w3d with fraternal twin boys. My due date is Jan.17. I have 2 older daughters but this is my first pregnancy with twins so I'm a little nervous on what to expect!:)

  32 weeks. I guess I can be added to the bed test beauties list. Dr wants me to be admitted until delivery for close monitoring. After an encouraging growth scan a few weeks ago, cord flow did not look good on Friday and baby B is IUGR. Hope is to keep them in for two more weeks but I'm having a lot of contraction s so we'll see.

  Hi! I am 15 weeks just found out sexes on Friday Baby A Girl & Baby B Boy... Very exciting news weird pain on my left side so im looking foward to MFM doctor on Monday to check on the babies... Feel super tired and got a promotion at my job ugh i guess no slowing down for me! But with the promotion i negociated 2 months paid maternity an partial work from home so im def excited!!!

  Hi I'm 14.3 weeks pregnant with di/di boy/girl twins. I'm 41 yo and so far so good. We had a bit of a scare when the lab messed up on the. blood work so I had to have a CVS. Everything looks good now but I won't rest till there in my arms. A year ago they told us that there is no chance of me getting pregnant again so we stopped ivf and were just going to be happy with our DD. well we showed them with twins!! Lol I want my money back lol.

  Update: 28 weeks tomorrow. I probably should be added to the bed rest call out since I've been in the hospital since 24 weeks. I will not be released until 34 weeks due to a shortened cervix and erratic contractions.
  
  QOTW: This is my first pregnancy so I don't have a frame of reference. I have had my full share of worry for this pregnancy, but I can't say that I would have worried any differently with a singleton pregnancy.

  Update: 22 weeks tomorrow. Doc still as me on an every 4 week rotation with US every four weeks. This better change soon, I'm running out of patience (4wks is too long). It's fun to feel their little movements and personalities -we picked names and ordered furniture....starting to get very real! my favorite part? Watching people's faces when I tell them I'm due in Dec. (before I tell them it's twins)

  15w6d!  And I am finding out the sexes tonight!   I can't wait - I feel like it will make everything feel more 'real'.   Other than constipation I am feeling great.
  
  QOTW:  I don't like the nosy questions about how I ended up with twins.  The best part is just being pregnant and knowing I have two lives growing in me - it is surreal.

  So far so good. We had a great appointment last week and they made us part of a twin study. Our babies are measuring very close in size and had good anatomy and hbs. The Douwns testing and Spina bifida testing all came back normal.  We go back a week from tomorrow and of course I will be nervous again.  I am starting to feel them more though, so that is awesome and helps ease my PgAL mind.

  What is the best and worst thing about being pregnant with multiples? 

  The best is that it is just such a miracle! We couldn't feel more blessed or excited to have these babies in out lives...even with how high risk they are and after our great loss in Jan. I just always think how amazing they already are, and we don't even know them yet.

   

  The worst HAS to be the worry...I am back and forth between joy and tears.  I am scared to plan, register, and paint the nursery, and I don't think this will change until they get here.

  QOTW: one of the best thing is conceiving twins naturally after 2 yrs of infertility to conceive our son. It's a funny little twist in our story. I am starting to get annoyed with everyone telling me how big I am going to get. Thanks people I am aware!

  So far we are doing great! We had our first scan over the weekend & both babies looked great! We were able to get genders but we wont know them until this weekend when we have our (small) gender reveal party with our parents. I cannot wait to know what I am having.

   

  Best thing - This is a whole different experience than with DS. Its another kind of excitement

  Worst Thing - I am terrified of so much like the pregnancy itself, & delivery.

  29w3d and I just got back from my ultrasound and MFM appointment. Everything looks good. There was a bit of a scare with measuring the blood flow in the baby girl's cord, but I think she was just not wanting to cooperate. She's a little smaller than her brother and didn't grow as much since the last ultrasound, so it was an agonizing 5-10 minutes, but the doctor says everything is looking good. The boy is just shy of 3 pounds and the girl is 2 pounds 10 ounces. The boy wasn't as shy today and we got a good profile pic of him.
  
  I have nothing to compare this pregnancy to, but with the exception of eating ice cream guilt-free and shopping for cute twin outfits, I can't say I am enjoying it. There's too much to worry about and I can't run, which was my go-to stress-reliever pre-pregnancy.

  This is my first time participating in the check in and I think I'm a little late to the party
  
  I'm 16+ 2 with mo/di girls. I have an MFM appointment today and I'm always so nervous. We also have a 21 month old baby girl.
  
  The best part of being pregnant with twins is the excitement. We are so excited and are our families. It's the first set of twins in either side.
  
  The worst part is the constant worry. I'm always fearing something will go wrong. I had a loss at 13 1/2 weeks before DD so I think it makes me even more paranoid. I'm hoping once I feel them consistently I will calm down but there is always the worry of IUGR and TTTS. I just want them to be perfect.
  
  I'm very thankful for this board. I have no one IRL that can relate to twin pregnancy.

  What is the best and worst thing about being pregnant with multiples?
  

  Best: getting to respond to the question "are you sure there aren't two in there" with "actually there are, I didn't think I was looking that huge though" 

  Worst: I'm close to the end and my body is like "I'm done with this." so I'm sore all over

  
  

  
  

  My update: 

  My Boys are measuring at 6 lb 10 oz and 6 lb 3 oz 

  As of tuesday:

  0 cm dilated, but softening. NST still good, both head down facing my spine

  I haven't posted here yet but will intro myself now. I'm 13w pregnant w di/di twins. My due date is 2/27. I spent Sunday in ER with some heavy bleeding and found out I have 2 SCH's. One SCH is closest to my cervix and I'm currently on bed rest til at least my next appointment. So far this pregnancy has been the hardest thing I've ever done. I have 2 daughters, 4 & 14 months, and live in New Orleans. Nice to meet everyone!

  Things are going well here. We had a MFM appointment yesterday, which was mainly just a cervix check.

  Apparently they are calling it the Cervix of Champions, measurements in the range of 5.00 and 4.50. So everything is good there.

  While taking a quick look at the babies, it's pretty definite that Baby B is a Boy. Not sure with Baby A though, but there's a good chance that baby is a Girl.

  We have the Anatomy Scan the first week in September, so we will conclusively find out the genders then.

  And I think my wife would murder me in my sleep if I posted a pic online. She's private like that .

  I guess I'm here for real now. I am 12W with twins. I am 12w3d and feeling okay. I have a little bit of a pooch and i'm going to see a MFM tomorrow. So hopefully I will know what kind of twins i'm having. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I have a 2 year old son who was born in June, 2011. I use to be a reg on the May, 2011 board, but faded away from TB after my son came. The twins and the rollercoaster ride of a twin pregnancy brought me to you ladies.

  Hi! 9w5d here... I had another appointment last week and saw both little heartbeats! I was still genuinely shocked to see two of them, even though we have known for a few weeks. Nausea is getting better too! Not every day, but I can actually eat real meals sometimes woohoo! So far, (and i could be wrong about this) the best thing about twins is that I feel like there is a lot less pressure to be the perfect supermom... There just seems to be a lot more support and less judging. The worst thing is the worry. I really, really need to Stay off dr. google!

  I guess this is my last check in! My girls were born via c section on August 9th. They had no NICU time and were 5lbs 9 ozs and 5lbs 10 ozs. We are settled into being home and things are going really well! One thing my husband and I keep saying is that it seems like having a toddler and a newborn would be harder!

  26w2d! Had my glucose test last week and passed without a problem. Been feeling very fatigued and nauseous lately--the house is a wreck. Sigh. But not complaining too much, as I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by! 
  
  QOTW: The best is feeling the twins interact with each other. I usually assume they're fighting for space. :-P Also, we're kind of "celebrities" in our social circles, which is fun. I get to ramble on about my pregnancy and people want to listen!  
  
  The worst: already feeling so huge I find myself debating whether or not it's worth it to roll over in bed at night, not being able to sit close enough to the computer to type comfortably, etc ... also the anxiety. It seems there is always *something* to worry about; lately I've switched from worrying about the delivery/babies making to term and have begun (again) to wonder how on earth I'll manage two newborns and a toddler on my own once DH goes back to work.

  We found out we're having twins at our 12 wk ultrasound last week! They are identical (at least everyone says so since they share a placenta) and the ultrasound technician thinks they are girls! Husband and I were completely shocked! Never in my life did I think I would be a mother of twins! The news was VERY well received by our families (will be the first grandchildren on both sides). Now I'm just focused on having a healthy pregnancy so I can deliver two healthy beauties. My original due date is March 5th, but I think they will move it to February since they were measuring a week ahead and twins are considered full term earlier than the normal 40wks.
  
  So glad to have found the multiples board! Love to see what's going on with other moms with twins.
