Hi Ladies!
It has been a VERY long time since I posted on here, but I am having a good time reading all of the advice from other posts and hope to use this more!
I am almost 15 months PP - I have gotten 2 real periods.. my first one was in June, second one came 47 days later at the end of July (I actually tested because it took so long to show up - negative) and it ended on the 3rd of August... now, for my question - I have just (for the past 2 days) gotten what looks to be my period again. Yesterday it was brownish (sorry, TMI) and today/this morning it has turned into what looks like a normal (bright red) period. It's lighter than normal, but I feel pressure/a bit crampy. It's only been about 2 weeks since my last one ended.. Is this normal? Anybody have this? A little background: I am on the mini pill -- stopped breastfeeding about 2 months ago. Any ideas what this could be? Just a little worried.. seemed a bit odd! TIA everyone! And I apologize if this isn't the right spot for this, I need to get back in the swing of things on the Bump

Re: Wasn't sure where to put this/PP Period Q??
While I have seen and read that it is pretty normal to have unusual periods after breastfeeding (til things get regular again), I say go ahead and check up with your OB/doctor. I had extremely long periods after I stopped breastfeeding (up to 60 days between) and while I was repeatedly told it was normal, I finally was seen and it turned out I have PCOS. Obviously this doesn't apply to you, the point is its better to just make sure things are fine and it will ease your mind a whole lot better than any bump advice : )
When I started bc 6 weeks pp the dr. put me on a low dose bc pill and I had two periods a month for 3 months. He then switched me to a higher dose ortho tri cyclen and I bled the same on that one. He had to put me on an even stronger one and that seemed to do the trick. My friend was on the mini pill due to breast feeding but when she stopped bfing she ended up switching to something that was stronger because she was bleeding a lot and having bad cramps. Call your dr. and see what they say.
