My kid wouldn't eat her cake!

Anyone else?

DD got a funfetti cupcake today's a she was NOT into it. She picked through it, tasted a little frosting and then gave me a "wtf is this shit, mommy" look. Then she climbed into my lap and gave me this lovely frosting handprint.

A little later the adults got chai-spiced cupcakes. My friend gave DD a bit if the chai cupcake and she LOVED it. Gobbled one right up. Lesson learned here. Kid friendly flavors? NO. Spicy, not too sweet? MORE, PLZ.

    DD didn't want hers either. DH finally dug into it with a fork and then she finally tried it

    DD ate a little bit of icing. We tried to shove her hand in it, but no luck.

    DS didn't eat his either. But I didn't really think he would so I wasn't shocked. He hates his hands being dirty.

    So he put both hands down in it. Pulled back, turned his hands over and looked at the icing. Then proceeded to shake his hands all over the place trying to get the icing off. Exactly what I thought he would do. :)

    LO's birthday party is this weekend. Honestly, I'll be kind of proud if he doesn't want his cake! We generally don't do a lot of sweets in our house; and we are big on clean eating and try to eat mostly (75%) primal/paleo.

    DS has had cake and sweets several times already and loves it - I don't think we will have this issue but funny to read some of the reactions LO's gave!

    My DS hated his cake on both occasions (cake smash pics and the actual party). Once he realized the icing wouldnt come off of his fingers it was on...he screamed for 30 min.
