What's new?
DD's vocabulary has just exploded. The kid who said mama and dada for everything, now has a vocabulary for 20-25 words. Not all properly pronounced of course, but enough so we know what she's saying/asking for. She's also got the wave for hi and bye, the headshakes for yes and no, gives high-fives, plays patty-cake, will dance and get in her chair all when asked. Both her comprehension of the things we stay and ability to mimic the words or follow the instruction is still amazing to me.
She is a little daredevil with no fear which I'm sure will bring on the grey hair any day now. She can climb like nobody's business and has no problems going up and down the stairs of our split level on her own. She's also walking like a champ now. She's almost fully lost her baby waddle and walks like a kid! It's unreal how quickly she's changing.
We've been at a standstill of 6 teeth for the past 2 months.
Her personality is unreal. Watching her interact with others makes me so happy. She's friends with everybody at daycare, even kids in the older rooms love her because she's always smiling and waving at them. Not that she's happy ALL the time here, she's definitely got her whining and temper tantrums down. In general though, she's such a happy kid who loves reading and playing. She'll run and laugh and wrestle with DH and play peek-a-boo and tag. It's hard to believe just a year ago she was this tiny little baby who spent her days just eating, sleeping and pooping.

DD has been practicing running the past few weeks. She's still a little unsteady on her feet walking and she is even more wobbly while she runs. No major boo-boo's yet though (knock on wood). I'm pretty sure she has all her teeth for now, 16 total, but I think her top molors are only half way through. She is babbling for now but she is experimenting with new sounds so I'm excited about that. I can't wait until she just starts learning words like crazy. She still says "dad" for everything.
DD loves to be outside! She is still shy around new people (and hates men!). She's in the middle of 1-2 naps. Two naps seems like too many but one nap isn't enough yet. And she still only eats puree's and Gerber diced fruit. I'll be talking to her pedi about her nutrition at her 15 month appointment this week.
