feeling worn down...

So I'll start by apologizing for posting when I haven't been on much. TB wouldn't let me log-in for the longest time and I was going to make a new name but never got around to it (see: the rest of this post).

I'm feeling completely exhausted. By the time DS goes to sleep every night I can barely make it to bed. My body aches all over and I feel emotionally drained. Is this normal for me to feel like this with a budding toddlers? He's certainly active but I never imagined being so tired. Is this common? Should I be concerned? I've still not seen AF but have no concerns about being pregnant, although the thought briefly crossed my mind. I'm off of work for a few weeks and I'm worried that if I don't get some idea about what's going on then when I have a class of Kindergartners all day I don't know how I'll manage.

P.S. I hope this didn't come off whiney because that's not how I mean it...

Re: feeling worn down...

  • I am sorry you have been feeling this way. I honestly would talk to a doc if you are that unusually tired. It could be nothing but it could also be something more serious. It never hurts to just make sure and then it would ease your mind a bit if it is just natural.

  • If you feel this is more than your average tired it wouldn't hurt to get checked out. Not to scare you, but I felt unusually tired plus other symptoms that you don't have and it ended up being lyme disease. Not saying you have it, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to get checked out because it could be something you wouldn't think you would have.

  • You might want to get your iron level and thyroid checked out. Caring for a toddler is exhausting, but it could be something else. Better safe than sorry. Hope you feel better soon!
