Has it sunk in yet?

This is my first pregnancy and we've been trying for about 8 months. We had just started seeing a fertility doc as I am 35 and my husband is 40 but we'd had not even started any testing yet as i had to wait til next cycle. Hubby had a SA and all was ok.
I was spotting and had cramps on what should have been first day of period this month (15th) so I was sure I was getting my period. Full flow never came so I decided to take a test and it was positive!! I have taken a total of 3 now and all were +ve! So I am currently 5 wks and the only symptoms I have so far are sore and swollen breasts. There have been so many months that I was sure I was pregnant and wasn't. This month I have been on vacation for the 2 weeks post O so I have been more relaxed and did not expect to be pregnant esp when I felt my period coming which I now know was implantation bleeding. Sorry for the long post but I want to explain why it's has not sunk in yet and I am scared to believe it too much until the doc confirms. It's slowly sinking in and we are very very happy!!!

    I'm right there with you. I'm hoping that it sinks in for me after my betas. I'm scared and worried and know that I'm pregnant, but the excitement hasn't come yet.

    My biggest symptom is the sore boobs too.



    Me: 32 DH: 31.
    B/W: good. SA: good.
    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    Jordan Samuel born April 19, 2014. 6 lb, 12 oz and 18 inches long.

    That's good to hear! I had some really weird discharge the same night I found out and I was convinced I had lost it but I had another +ve test and no bleeding so think I am ok...anyone else have a very faint line? I used FR and second line was quite faint.

    It's sunk in that I am pregnant...however, I will feel WORLDS better after my first Dr appt next week where I can see/know that everything is healthy and perfect. Right now, I know I am pregnant but am also cautious.

    Me too. Here in the states you have to wait until 10 wks to get it confirmed however since I was seeing a fertility doc they want to do a blood test ASAP. I think once a medical professional confirms it I may start believing!!!

    I've already had 2 ultrasounds and still am having a hard time believing it!  We went from not trying at all to beginning our first medicated cycle.  Since I over-stimmed, we had to convert last minute to IVF.  It was a shocker!  Literally I was pregnant after 4 weeks from deciding to start TTC again.

     Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011
    Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012

     After a much needed sanity break... we are praying for our rainbows

    ((BFP 7/29/13))  ((EDD 4/12/14))  It's BOY/GIRL twins!!!

    I had very faint lines all the way up to 17 DPO.  I didn't have exrtemely dark lines until about 20DPO.  And, I had very high betas.  So, don't go by the darkness of the line.  Some tests have different amounts of dye in it.
