First trip without LO

Wednesday I leave for Florida for a "sister" trip with my two sisters. My older sister is getting married next month so this is a little weekend trip we put together. DH is staying home with DS and my MIL is coming to stay as well. This is the first time I'll be away from DS over night and it's 4 nights total I'll be gone. I'm already super anxious and sad about leaving him but excited for the fun trip we have planned. Any tips on not to be a paranoid mom while I'm away? DH just got an iphone yesterday and excited that I'll be able to Facetime with them.

    Facetime will help, once you are there and see that they are doing great, I think you will feel much better- it was what helped me to relax alot- that being said. Once you see they are doing well. Try to go and have fun! You know they are going to do just fine and yes you will miss DS but the time away will be good for you. Have fun!!!!

    TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

    Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

    TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

    Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

    Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

    Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)

    I was gone for 2 days in March for a work conference and Facetime was great!  Probably more so for me than them but I loved seeing them and getting to talk to them!

    DH and I have gone away overnight and I have gone away overnight with my friends. We did not Skype, but I did get lots of pictures sent to my phone and email. I missed DD, but it was so nice to get away for a bit!

    Enjoy the trip with your sisters, it sounds like it will be a blast. You will be back before you know it :)

    DH and I have gone away on trips 3 times since LO was born, the longest being this month- 5 days. I really hate leaving him because I miss him so much, but I find that once I get where I'm going, I tend to relax and enjoy myself.

    We don't facetime or skype because he tends to cry when we hang up. My mom has always kept him and he's always very good with her, so I don't see the need to "see" him doing ok live. My sister will text me pictures though, or message them to me through FB (while we were out of the country with only wifi service) and I really love that.
