Seriously, since I had this babe my hair game is suffering. Crazy question but... When do ya'll blow dry/do your 'do?
Not really curious how to tackle the task on my own but more curious how everyone fits it in.
I.e., Before LO wakes? While LO is crawlin/attemping to fall around you? Do you strap that babe down to something, then do your hair? Do you shower at night purposely while LO is sleeping?
Spill it.

I normally shower during her first nap of the day. The day I work, I get ready before she wakes.

Playpen is a good idea. I baby proofed my bedroom, so I plop her on the floor with a book and a few toys and dry, chase, dry, check on her, dry, give her a new toy.... Etc. if she gets fussy I let her play with contraband... Remote or hairbrush.

We have central air, but I get so overheated drying and getting ready that I put a window AC in my adjoined bathroom/closet and I ice the room while I'm in there. Before the AC, I blasted a fan and got ready naked. DH and I fought over my beloved AC but I made his life miserable until he stfu about it

Sometimes I get out of the shower and hear her wake from her nap. i try to get most of my hair dry real quick if she is jabbering. I just leave her in there until she forreal cries.

Oh, and for showering when she's awake? I put her in the bathroom with me and shut the door. I give her some toys and dance and sing and smush my face on the glass so I can get it done. I always intend to shower while she sleeps, but I nap or screw around and then she wakes up and I'm like...damnit!

During the week I get ready while she is sleeping in the morning. On the weekend it's usually during her first nap.

@tinyhumantoe all of that is so me! I HATE being hot while in getting ready so would I always got ready for work in my underwear with a fan. There's nothing worse than sweating right after a shower!

I only wash my hair every 3-4 days and when I do wash it I shower at night, put it in a bun and blow dry it after everyone has had breakfast and is settled. It doesn't take me very long, so I keep the baby on the bathroom floor and let the toddler watch tv. It works or me.

For me the question is: how do you all wear your hair down? L pulls the shit out of my hair (yup, there's shit in there), therefore my hair is always in a bun. Only variation is height of bun. I no longer blow dry bc this situation renders it pointless.

I shower during DD's first nap. I don't blow dry since I WFH. I just throw it back in a clip. But I got it cut today so no more clip needed, yay.

If I need to blow dry & do makeup when she is not sleeping, I do it in my bedroom & let DD play in there.

Hah. Seriously though, I do shower quite a bit less that I would probably like. I shower and blow dry during nap most of the time. Otherwise, I put DD in the closet area with a bunch of toys while I attempt to blow dry my hair. Lately, I have actually been showering at the gym after working out... and the kids are in the gym nursery.

I used to obsess over my hair and would basically dry/curl it every day, but now that I'm SAH and have DD, I often times put it up. When I do decide to style it, I can either do it while DD naps or really, I can toss her on the bathroom floor and she'll just watch me. Mostly, my hair has suffered because I don't care much..not because I have a baby, ha.
