Full Placenta Previa

Coming to you guys from the 2nd trimester for hope.

Has anyone been diagnosed with full PP. The U/S tech told me today that since its completely over the birth canal that it won't move up so I will have to have a c-section. I'm currently 16 weeks. I really do not want a CS. I have had 2 normal deliveries and would like this one to be vag as well.

    I had Placent Previa and it moved...not sure if it was "full" or not but the tech shouldnt really be telling you anything like that at all.  What do your OB or midwife say?  did you schedule a repeat u/s in a month or two?  In the end, at least you know, can be careful and will have a healthy baby.

    My OB said the tech should have not told me it wouldn't move either. She said I'm only 16 weeks and it could move up. So I hope she is right. But she said that how it's sitting it might move but not enough to have a vag delivery. :(. We will see what the 20 week U/S looks like.

    I was diagnosed at 20 weeks with complete previa. At my 28 week ultrasound it moved to marginal (no longer covering the cervix but close to it). I go back again at 32 weeks and I'm hopeful it will continue to move. My doctor said most movement occurs in the third trimester because that's when the uterus expands the most. My fingers are crossed!!!

    Thank you so much. That is good news to hear. My dr didn't really tell me much since I'm only 16 weeks and I was upset during my appt and didnt know what to ask. I hope yours moved for you.

    At my 18 week appointment, I had placenta previa. By my 28 week appointment, it moved up as baby got bigger! She shouldn't have told you it wouldn't move. Hang in there and good luck!

    With my first, I had placenta previa at my 20 week appointment and by 28 weeks it had resolved itself.  You're still really early I wouldn't worry.
