We had a backyard bbq for about 20 people for DS's birthday yesterday. Our theme was the Very Hungry Caterpillar. One of my friends who is a caterer made this awesome caterpillar cupcake cake. We had guests sign the front page of the book as a guest book, used a Hungry Caterpillar quilt my aunt made for DD as a tablecloth, and served most of the foods he eats in the book (including fruit salad made of all the fruit).

Table with guest book (pretty much the only decorations unless you count the red and green plates I arranged to look like a caterpillar)...
No cake smash photos because I don't like to post photos of my kids, but DS got the caterpillar's head to himself. He didn't eat much of it, but he had fun.

@Saltypearl, I knew there was someone else (maybe multiple people) doing Hungry Caterpillar. It was pretty easy to do. Did you post photos of yours? Now that I am done I could look without making more work for myself trying to duplicate.
