Anyone else fighting the same temptation? We started creating our registries as soon as we found out we were pregnant, and I am constantly adding and changing things based on research that I find. The awful thing, is that when I check my registry and see something on sale, I instantly want to buy it because it is such a good deal! For instance, the baby swing I want is currently $40 off and the pack and play is $25 off, how do I resist these deals?!?!

I wouldn't buy anything unless it was 50% or more on sale. I agree with other PPs, Black Friday there are a lot of really good deals!
Also, the planner that I am- I would stalk the Black Friday flyers when they show up online. If you already had your baby shower (if you are having one) and you see a lot of items that you are on your registry, I would totally use my completion coupon on Black Friday and save an additional 10% off of the sale prices. At BRU, I asked if I could use the one time completion coupon in store before they mailed it me. They were able to do it no problem since I was nearing my EDD.

My mom keeps going to resale shops and trying to convince me to buy all of the good deals she finds on swings. I've told her so many times that if it doesn't get purchased from a registry, I'll definitely go look at resale shops. But not before. This has happened no less than 4 times. If she can find good swings at 4 different shops for good prices, something tells me that I'll find one in November too. But I guess it's my fault for teaching her about these resale shops in the first place.
