Hello, I need help!

My 30 month old dd started potty training today. I figured out she pees about every 45 mins. If I put her on the potty around that mark and wait for few minutes she will pee. if not, she will pee in her cotton underwear. I feel like a complete failure. I feel like I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas? We been talking about it for weeks and she seems ready, but does not tell me when she needs to go. Any advice will be welcome. I need help. She does pull ups at night and naps

Thank you, we tried that and she is doing a bit better, now we need to pee in public, she is not having it.
