I had an elective c section with baby no. 1 due to baby's size. The dr. said I could try natural but would more than likely end up with a ceasarean so I elected it. However, I am now due with baby 2 and have a few more weeks till the first appt. and was wondering do doctors seem to prefer repeat ceasareans or vbacs? Thank you for your input. I know ultimately this will be a discussion with my dr., but I am just curious of what I might hear.

Re: Repeat c-section or VBAC
If your doctor was skeptical of you being able to birth vaginally the first time, I would guess they won't be particularly in favor of VBAC. But if *you* are interested in it, definitely seek out someone who will truly be supportive of giving you every chance to VBAC.
And FWIW, one of the reasons I went for a VBAC was because I'm personally not comfortable of the risks associated with three c/s - I wanted to leave the option of having a third child open to me. hth and good luck!

It depends on the doctor and the place where you want to deliver. While there are a lot of hospitals that will allow women to VBAC there are also a lot that will not allow it.
If you feel strongly about it make sure that you have a facility that completely supports your decision.
