I need advice - What do you suggest?

Okay- I am doing timed intercourse. I'm using OPKs. I'm been using the new Clearblue digital advanced. They give you a blinking smiley face on high days and a non-blinkey one on your peak days. Well I've been testing (to the detriment of my wallet) 2x a day to catch my surge early...I caught it on Thursday - we DTD. Just now I've been shopping and thought was crampy - low and behold I come home test again and another positive surge!! Wth?

It's like I'm gearing up to O and then don't??!

This is the second month we've done this and I catch it probably too late

What do I do?
Give clearblue hell?
Does or has anyone charted fertility by cervical position?
I dropped the ball on the temping...

Not to mention i get over a weeks worth of high readings!

I've probably missed out this month again

because we thought we were done and didn't do the dance with no pants last night.

You probably caught on upsurge and today was O and cramp was mittleshmirtz -and caught lh on down surge. My lh surge is about three days. Really once you get that happy face, testing isn't recommended and O is 24-36 hours later. We seem to be on same schedule, I got positive in Thursday and had cramps and o pain today. Sounds like your timing was good! Could bd tonight, egg lives about a day so couldn't hurt to try!!!

You should start charting with Fertilityfriend.com next cycle if this isn't your cycle. Charting is the only way to know for sure if you're actually ovulating and not just "gearing up to O"

Also Amazon sells cheap ovulation tests

I would use the cheapies, and then confirm your + with the fancy CB.

You're right I need to buy the cheapies. Heck, they probably work better anyway!!

And I will try temping again. I'm bad for getting up in the morning and walking around like a half asleep zombie then realizing OH CRAP my temperature! lol.

lol KC I do that sometimes and I've been temping for almost 2 years. We all have our moments 8-}

It does get easier after a while, it becomes a habit, then you don't have to wonder what's really going on.

I got the Babi ones off Amazon, like 100 ovulation strips and 20 pregnancy strips for like $20-30. Six months still have enough for several more months testing twice a day!
Anyone can recommend a night lot thermometer that doesn't beep? We still cosleep and she is light sleeper so this is my big reason for not temping!

Hi! I used the CB Advanced one last month. I remember in the instructions it said that if you get a positive peak fertility you cannot use it any more. You have to get a new box in order to continue testing. I just purchased a new CB (non-Advanced) one. I am hoping it works this month. I am also tempting and charting every morning so I am very confident that it can work this time. I would buy the regular CB Easy Regular Fertility Indicator. You can test two times a day and keep testing even after you get your high fertility smiley. Good luck. I wish you the best!

I like the non advanced one better too. The advanced on is geared to give you extra days but honestly what good is that info if we have like 10 high days a low day and then a peak?

I just want to know when my surge is. I've had a hard time finding the non advanced one (other than on the Internet) I wonder if they are phasing them out? I bought, to the detriment of my wallet, First response digital OPKs but they are outrageous and I'm thinking of returning them and just ordering some wondfos
