Babies on the Brain

STARTING TO GET BABY FEVER!!

I'm scared we are just engaged and everything but i'm starting to get that baby fever.
We are both still in college him for mechanical engineer and me for dental assitant.

I haven't told my FI yet about me wanting a baby i don't want him to stop focusing on his schooling.

recently it just started up again and its hard to subdue idk what to do should i tell him and maybe it will be better or should i just keep it to myself?

  • Focus on planning your wedding, getting in shape, or just plain finishing school. Day dreaming is fine, but don't rush through the present just to get to the future. Enjoy this time!

  • Wedding planning is such a fun time - stressful at times but fun!  Dive into that and maybe it will help take your mind off the baby fever.

Keep it to yourself for now.  Finish school so you can get good jobs and have a foundation to stand on.

I agree with this. You might freak the guy out!

Jokes aside, it's never a bad idea to discuss children, how many each of you want, how you want to parent, timelines, savings goals, etc. But I would avoid "Oh my god I can't wait to have babies" talk and focus on the more important aspects of being parents together.

Have fun with wedding plans and finishing up school!

  • If you feel like your FI can help you through this time of waiting, share it with him and watch how close you two will grow. My DH helped me through our crazy baby fever and it show us just how much we need each other. Waiting is hard but you'll both know when the right time is!
  • thanks you guys for the advice i'll have to wait it out we are a bit young and i guess i was just so excited about the engagement that babies popped in my head lol my schooling and wedding are what i should be focusing on at the moment

    thanks again :D

    Might I suggest cowbell?

I hear that is the only cure for the fever.

All this. I can relate, because loads of my friends and family are having babies and I'm getting baby fever as well, but don't rush, enjoy this time and lay a good foundation (education, career) for the future.
