Well I hate oil and vinegar so I'd go with mustard. Buttttt........I've never had an Italian sub so there's that.
I'm in this club too. I've seen the subs on menus but never ordered one. I do like mustard on my sandwiches so based on how the sub is described I would probably do a spicy mustard.
I can't believe so many have never heard of an Italian sub! MH gets them everywhere and said mustard is weird. Mayo and/or oil and vinegar. I eat mine dry.

Same! I am in shock right now. Do you people not have Subways on every corner? The italian is one of the main ones people order! Guess people just stick with what they know and ignore everything else. Narcisistic bitches!! Italian subs. Order one. You will thank us.
Sorry Karm, I'm with Kelly! A true Italian has NO MUSTARD, you freak! Oil and Vinegar. BOOM.
Yup, same! And for those of you who "don't know what an Italian sub is"... You're killing me. It's only the best kind of sub out there.... I'm in shock.
So, help me know...what is on an Italian sub? Is that like a meatball sub?
Where I'm from, an Italian sub usually has ham, salami, possibly some other porkish meat, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, 'hots' (hot pepper relish and/or rings), and oil and vinegar.
All of this + Italian seasoning & mayo, 'round these parts.
You mean an Italian hoagie????? I don't usually order those, but I drown everything in mustard. My FIL made steaks tonight and i dipped mine in mustard. It kills me that jackson likes ketchup. I don't trust ketchup likers. :::insert raised eyebrow face:::
