Make me feel better...

I am stressing to the max right now because LO is yet to sit up still. A guy DH works with asked how LO was and DH told him about it and the guy said he was just being lazy. I'm freaking because I have a feeling I know what pedi is going to say (that LO is slower than most kids and that he will have special needs as he gets older)((Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, IDK)). LO does fine in his high chair and sitting up assisted between my legs and half decent in the Bumbo (LO doesn't have much of an ass).

Anywho, what do y'all think about this?

Anything I need to ask/mention to pedi?

D did not start putting himself into a seated position until two weeks ago. He is just now 9 months. And I think the way he does it is rather funny. He does not just go from laying to sitting up. He gets on all fours like he is going to crawl, then pushes backwards with his arms until he is upright.

I would not worry too much about him not sitting up on his own yet. Of course check with your pediatrician but honestly, the milestone for siting up unassisted is between 9-12 months. When I worry about milestones I just go check the CDC milestone chart and then tell everyone else who has a comment to fuck off

A did his too.

Give him time, he will do it when he's ready. Talk to the dr if it will help you out with how your feeling.

I would talk to pedi. Try not to worry until you have a conversation with the dr.

Thanks ladies.. Y'all are wonderful..

Zane is doing other things as far as getting around. Army crawling, getting up on forearms and knees, and `rolls all over the damn place.

I will def. talk to Z's pedi at his appt and see what she says.

If he's doing all that, I would NOT worry. L didn't learn to sit herself up until after she was crawling. She'd stop, lean, and sort of prop herself up on one hand for a while before she learned to sit all the way up too.

My pedi said that so long my DS was mobile (in any way), that he wasn't concerned about how he got around (my guy is a big army crawler, and can sit really well - but still needs me to put him like that. He can also pull up, but doesn't want to take any steps yet) Every baby is different

But if anything, for your nerves, I would call your doctor too ~ I'm sure he/she could offer up some reassurances.
