I'm 6 weeks post partum, but I haven't seen the doctor yet. My parents have a pool at their condo and since we're having a family party there this weekend, I was wondering if it'd be safe to get in the pool for 20 minutes. (Me only, DD will be inside). Should I wait or will I be fine?

I would think it would be fine, but I'd call the doctor and ask.

You should be fine, but generally they want to see you before you submerge yourself in water.

I am pretty sure that it would be fine but I do agree with ^^ about them wanting to see you usually.

I would call too just to be sure.

Or just stick your feet in- that's what I did until I got the go ahead to swim

I was told 6 weeks post csection for bathing or swimming. Not conditional upon a doctors approval and of sing no incision complications beforehand.

Typically after cs 6 weeks is the rule. If you haven't seen doc yet and your incision is well healed, I would call and ask them and they would prob say it's ok.
