Happened here??! I've been gone a couple days... Came by to catch up and let you wonderful, amazing, supportive ladies know that my first solo doula gig was a complete success! But um, can I even say that here anymore?! I mean, I charged money for it and there was a vagina involved, sooooo... Totally inappropriate, yes? Ugh.

If anyone feels like cliff notes-ing this shit for me, that would be cool.

Vanesslc flagged jessie because a few people (myself included) asked her to post her site so we could order from her and she was flagged several times. Mod's got involved and it was all around a shitty experience.

That's my cliff note version anyway im sure someone else could explain it better.

She rocked it! A couple cute and funny things... she didn't believe it was real labor like, ALL day. I kept encouraging her telling her "your baby is coming!" And she'd say "I don't believe you." Then when he was laid on her chest her first words were "I don't believe it!" which was fitting and super cute. Then she said over and over and over "I did it!" which of course made me cry, because ensuring that she feels that way at the end is my whole purpose as a doula. She also didn't curse at all during labor, she just kept saying "gosh darn it!" which had us all cracking up because she does normally cuss. It was so random! As soon as he was born, she said shit and ass within like five minutes, LOL! Not a single curse word during labor. She and her H were just the sweetest pair. It was so cool to watch them. I love this job!

Aw, that's great! While I'm still terrified of having a 2nd kid, I'm looking forward to the birth part. That moment is just so amazing - that's great you get to keep experiencing it for your job!
