My son is 2 years old and about a month or so again we tried potty training. We decided he wasn't ready since he would hop off the potty screaming when he peed. The issue now is he screams bloody murder in the bath and hold his penis and butt. He has never been a fan of the bath but tonight DH (I can't give him a bath alone because he gets so upset) and I almost fell in because he was trying to climb on us to get out. He also freaks out if I am changing his diaper and leave him naked too long.
I try to tell him that if he has to pee in the bath it is OK. But he is so historical he won't listen and when I try to tell him later on he doesn't pay attention (ignores us if we bring up the bath). We never got mad at him for peeing when we were trying potty training so I am not sure where this intense fear has come from.
So....my question is has anyone dealt with something like this and what did you try to help them get over it?
