Re: An Education Question (semi-HS related)

  • Seriously...why don't y'all fight about this when you all have school aged kids. That'll give us some time off from the subject.

So you are saying a trip is more important that your child's education?
Can you read? Nowhere did I say that or imply that.
Of course I can read.  But you said if something comes up during the school year that is best for your family "so be it".  It sounds like you are saying a trip is more important.

So don't read the posts.  It doesn't matter how old my kid is.  I don't believe in taking a kid out of school to go on vacation.  Probably because that is the way I was raised.  The most my mother pulled me out of school to "travel" was a half day on Friday if we were going a way for the weekend and that happened maybe 3 times the entire time I was in school.

First off, who the hell are you? Are you here just to share your childhood vacation plans with us? Second, I don't even disagree with you, but I think the horse has been beat...especially since most people in this thread are not close to school age.

Hey, I was just sharing my opinion on a subject that was brought up.  I thought that's what these boards were for.  I've posted on many topics in various boards including this one.  Wasn't aware only certain people were allowed to post.

I literally laughed at this. ftr, I was talking about it from a professional standpoint, not a personal one.

mystic, I know it's the law, I'm saying it shouldn't be. But since you shared that story about how your mom never took you out of school for a vacation, I'm convinced. I've found Jesus.  Good talk.
