My diabetes office is very concerned that I get enough carbs. I am eating about. 210 a day my numbers are mostly good which the fasting bring the trickiest but with no pattern. Sometimes it's 75 other days its lie 100s. It seems like a lot to me!
I am at the same amount. I think it has more to do with your weight/activity level/nutrition needs for the baby. It does seem like a lot, but I would follow what is suggested by your health care professional. Fastings are the toughest numbers to control for most people. Check out this board on baby center. The first page has a TON of information on GD.
I get about 120/day. That seems really low compared to what I keep seeing everyone posting about their diets, but it was the standard 2000 calorie diet that was given to everyone in my diabetes education class, and my numbers have been on track so I guess I can't complain, as much as I'd like to.
I'm wondering, though, if it's just broken down differently on paper. I get 3 servings of fruit per day and 2 servings of milk or yogurt, which are also carby. For those with higher carb allowances, does your fruit/dairy count, or do you count it separately?
