Any moms travel for work post baby?

I am going to India for 10-11 days in November. I am really excited for this opportunity in my career but I know I will miss J so much. Curious if anyone had BTDT yet. Luckily my mom was in the Army growing up (active duty then Reserves) so she is very supportive and will be helping out my husband while I am gone.

    I will be with coworkers and we will have a driver at all times. I guess the business environment is just fine for women but there has been some social unrest that makes it somewhat dangerous for females traveling alone.

    I've traveled several times, probably 6 or 7 times since returning to work, but each trip has only been two or three nights. That sounds like a very exciting opportunity! I'm sure your lo will be just fine while you're away. Just think how happy J will be when you get home!

    I traveled but only 3 - 5 days at a time. I find it more difficult to be overseas away then still in the us, even if it is the same amount of time away. It sounds like a great opportunity. And I find that it brings ds and dh closer when I'm gone.

    Good for you! I haven't spent a single night away from baby. Will you still be BF in November? That would take some additional effort but it's totally doable!  Good luck!

    I am going to stop BFing I think. It is best to go on anti malaria pills that are incompatible with BFing and I don't feel like pumping for 15 days for milk I can't even use. I was conflicted on weaning at one year anyway so this makes a good "excuse" to do what I wanted to do anyway but felt guilty about.
