Does anyone have recommendations on a good pediatrician group in Maryville or Knoxville.

    I am looking for one myself. I work in UT Medical Center. Several of my co-workers have recommended using the pediatricians here. I have heard really good things about Dr. Akhter in Dr. Camilla Jocher's group. He sees all his patients himself and does not pass it off to a nurse practitioner. They are currently taking new patients. Their phone number is 865.582.3100. I hope this helps!

    I use Knoxville Pediatric Associates on Weisgarber Rd and see Dr. Wilkenson.  We are quite happy with him, but we have only have had to see him once for something other than her well baby checks.  We were able to get in the same day for that 'sick' appt and didn't have to wait too long.

    We like Maryville Pediatric Group (and they also have Pelissippi Pediatrics). Their systems are directly connected with Children's Hospital, so if you ever have to visit there, the office can log in and get the visit notes for following up with you. They have always gotten us in the same days for an illness and most of the time you don't have to be a walk in and just sit in wait, they actually give you and appt time so you aren't there all day with a sick baby.

    We previously went to the UT pediatrics and I never really liked it there. We saw Dr. Akhter and Dr. Mohr.
