4th Month from hell

i know someone posted on this subject already but i just needed to chime in. This entire week DD has been up several times at night ( she turned 4 months on monday). I have been so spoiled since she has been STTN since about 5 weeks old. Now i have had a full week of bad sleep. I really hope this will pass and i will get back my STTN baby. lol

Re: 4th Month from hell

  • Girl DS has been like this for the past four weeks. It seems like he's calming down this week (finds nearest wood to knock on)

  • @tondraluv ughhhh i dont know if i can take four weeks of bad sleep and no carbs ( i have been dieting) I might just strangle SO hahahahh
  • I've helped our sleep improve by safely co-sleeping in the very early hours of the morning.  M's eyes pop open between 5:30 and 6:30a...I just pick him up and take him into bed with me.  He falls asleep for a couple more hours and is able to nurse as much as he wants without either of us waking up to find each other from across the room. :)

  • This is us, too. Rhys has been STTN for over a month and now suddenly he's waking up at 3 am again. Also, he screams his face off, refuases to nurse, and fights going to sleep day and nigjt. And I start back ay work on Monday. Go ahead and kill me now!

  • @mandmeesh maybe this is why for us too. We've been putting LO in the travel bassinet in our bed after his MOTN feeding and he sleeps way better this week. Never thought of that connection.

  • Yeah, M is crazy and wakes up like four times every night...I'm thinking about making the switch to full-night co-sleeping after checking with H.  It's not even like M is awake just to be awake-he's nursing each time like he's ravenous.  Co-sleeping seems to be the best solution for us instead of groaning every time I hear him wake up hungry.  I've taken the approach "he's a baby and needs us for everything".  I hate getting mad when he wakes up all night long-it's not his fault.  Co-sleeping saves my sanity :)
