1 year shots and small bumps 24 hrs later?

Good morning!

LO had his 12 month vaccinations two days ago, including the shot for chicken pox. We were told that a rash might develop 7-12 days later - but yesterday and today he woke up with several red bumps - which could possibly be mosquito bites?? he plays outside a lot. Yesterday I called the Dr and the nurse told me that a rash this early is probably unrelated.

I am not sure what type of "rash" to be looking for if it was related to the vaccine... but it seems odd that he has all of these "bug bites" out of no-where.

Does anyone have experience with post-vaccination rashes?

I should add that the bumps don't seem to be bothering him at all...

Where are the bumps? All over, or just in certain areas?

just on his thighs - and a couple on one of his feet

I went to the ped and it looks like hand, foot, mouth! shocking.. especially since there are none on his hands.. and just the tops of his feet. He isnt fussy so I'm happy about that - just hoping it passes quickly!!
