I did a whole lot of complaining this week to DH, friends and coworkers (basically whoever was in ear shot)! So I know I need a little reminder of things to be thankful for
-Getting to hear LO's heartbeat next week at my appointment
-DS finally got rid of his fever (that has been going on for 10 days)
-My inlaws are going out of town (yes, we are still living with them)
-DH and I will hopefully have a date night tonight :-)
Re: What are you thankful for today?
Today is my birthday, so I'm thankful that I made it through another year. I'm thankful for my incredible family, that this LO on the way has been happy and healthy so far, and for my fantastic job.
I've cried three times this morning thinking about how lucky I am, my life isn't perfect but it is prety fucking fantastic.
I've been pretty whiney this entire pregnancy so I'm glad to be coming out of that funk at least for a little while :-). Today has been a particularly good day so here's what I'm thankful for...
1) Cooler weather
2) Baby has been moving around a good bit the last few days. Always reassuring.
3) DS started Kindergarten last week and is LOVING it. I was a little nervous b/c we took a chance on a Charter school but so far, I am so impressed with the staff and the level of professionalism and communication with parents. Also just found out this week that they were one of only 28 schools in the state named as a GA School of Excellence which is a BIG deal. Very glad we took a chance here.
4) DD is just so stinkin smart. I have to remind myself that she's not even 3 yet because she really is so advanced that I sometimes put her in the same category as her 5 year old brother!
5) My job. I was seriously considering quitting or going part time earlier this year because we live so far from the office and can't move and I was just tired of being tired and missing my kids. My management totally came through and offered to let me telework almost exclusively and it has completely changed my work/life balance. I am so much happier now and so grateful for this opportunity.
Thank you Books!!!! I'm the big 3-0 today!
- having a boss/job that allows me to take half the day to go meet with a genetic counselor and have my NT scan done today - without giving me grief about making up the time
- so thankful it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow (until 8 at least!)
- for my wonderful H who still loves me even though I'm cra-cra and hormonal nearly all the time right now :-)

2. Last weekend DH and I went to The Cheesecake Factory just to get cheesecake. It was delicious and, under normal circumstances, I never would have been able even eat half of it, but because I'm pregnant and starving all the time, I ate the whole thing! And it was extra delicious because I was craving chocolate.
Now able to cook meals myself and don't get sick.
