Another Family Photo Outfit Post

Okay Ladies! Here is the pic of DD's dedication dress. Sorry it is a shitty picture, DH took it for me, because I forgot to last night! I need to find her some shoes to go with it and then I am not sure what DH and I should wear for her dedication and then the pictures afterwards. We go to a pretty laid back church and I have seen other babies dedication's where the parents wore jeans and nice tops, but I am not comfortable with that. So, any suggestions? I've got lots of tanks and cardigans and DH has black trousers and a white dress shirt and a blue dress shirt.

Not a fashionista, but you can potentially wear anything with that dress. It is basic enough to coordinate with anything ya'll wear.

That's so pretty! Anything will go - I would just make sure you and DH wear coordinating colors. Not too matchy matchy, but you know.

Like for example, if you had on a printed top and nice pants, he could wear a polo shirt or a button down in a solid color that coordinates with your print, and either dress pants or khakis.

I know, but my fear is that her dress is so fancy that we will look like slobs if we aren't dressed up to a certain extent. Also, I worry about color, I know I am probably ::read most definitely:: over thinking this, but do DH and I do a more bold color, to make up for her lack of color or will that take away from her and dress. See, I know I am totally over thinking it but I can't help it! I want it to be perfect!

Since you can go with any color, I would pick whatever tones you think you and DH look best in. For some it's brighter jewel tones, for some it's muted pastels. Like I said, I think it's more important that the 2 of you look coordinated, because a white (or is it ivory? either way....) dress will match anything.

I like more muted solid colors for dedications. She is the center of attention. Just don't wear off white. Does your DH have tan pants instead of black? Black feels so heavy and like a funeral. I like lighter colors for dedications. I think tan pants with a blue button up would be nice. If not, the black pants and white shirt will be fine.

Are you up for wearing a dress, maybe a long maxi with a cardi?

Yes DH has nice khaki's. I would prefer a long dress and have been looking for one, but just haven't found one yet.... which is why I come to you guys!

Plus, I can't find shoes to go with the dang dress!

Ok @hmp1 - opinion on the Target Dress. I am currently between two sizes, and the color you posted they don't have in the larger size, but they have the pink in the larger size. Would that be too bright you think?
