Gross tasting milk

I gave my DD her sippy of milk this morning from a brand new carton that was good until the 28th. I also always smell the milk before I give it to her and it smelled fine. She wasn't drinking it though, and after a while asked for a new cup. I decided to taste it to see if something was wrong and it tasted like an f-ing Sharpie. I thought maybe it was the cup so I tried it in one of our cups and it was still gross. I threw the while gallon and will get a different brand from now on probably (though we hadn't had problems with horizon organic before), just wondering if anyone else has had milk taste like that?

    I'd just take it back to the store, mostly so they're aware and can pull any of the rest with that expiration date from the shelves. It's probably not necessary to swear off the brand but you might want to send Horizon an email and let them know about your experience. At worst you'll probably get a free coupon and a promise that they'll check into it.

    I'm always taking food back to the store. I've never had a problem exchanging anything or getting my money back.
