I can't handle people's ignorance and happiness yet. They are all puppies & rainbows. They have no idea how hurtful some of the things they are saying are, which why would they? They haven't experienced the loss of their baby. I feel like a bitter old hag over there redirecting the 3454 symptom posts to the "daily symptom" thread and telling people that if they looked at all they'd see the 4 other threads about baby names or that saying things such as "just relax" to someone going through PgAL isn't ok or that saying "well I don't smoke, drink and eat healthy so I should be ok" makes me want to burst into tears because I feel like I'm being judged for something that I had no control over. Sorry, rant over. Happy Friday, here are some yummy treats for you time:

I am actually trying to hang out on mine more this go around, but I did wait till second trimester to intro.

Luckily I have not seen any rainbow fart-ers, I may have dodged them by staying away for the few weeks I did.

I hope they hurry up and mature because it is hurtful to those of us who have been effected by loss. Big hugs take a few deep breaths and always be cautious when making an attempt at the BMBs.

Yup it's frustrating. My board went through that too, then (as is sadly inevitable) there were some losses and complications and I think that opened people's eyes. I wish it didn't have to happen but it did and now if you post something about your 'gender scan' or whine about gender disappointment you will get flamed big time.

Yep, the April board is nuts right now.

What gets me are all of the people who are pitching a fit because they can get an ultrasound until they're 12 weeks. But they WANT ONE. They WANT TO SEE THE BABY. It's SO UNFAIR.

Um, those of us who are getting ultrasounds either have a history of loss, have high-risk pregnancies, or have been through IF/IVF (or all three, in quite a few cases on our board). So yeah, you probably shouldn't whine to us about it.

This happened early on my BMB too... and it still sometimes happens, but it's died down a bit as people have been there longer. We do have quite a few loss moms on there, but I still roll my eyes a lot at some people. This board is definitely more, I don't know... mature? I feel like a lot of the women on the other board are just clueless, though as time goes on I feel like we're splitting into the "meaniefaces" camp and the "puppies and rainbows" camp. Never thought I'd be lumped into the meanies, but whatever. I have no patience for stupidity these days.

Maybe take a break and go back in a few weeks to see if that stuff has died down?

Yep it is pretty nuts over there. Hold out ladies, I am sure it will die down. We Pgal girls have to stay together! I don't mind commenting on some of the rude comments/inconsiderate ones. I feel blessed to have so many of you ladies in the April month!!!

I'm with you! I want to puke every time I go on there.

I feel like a terrible person, but I'm almost hoping that with all of the ladies that are currently leaving, and will be leaving over the coming weeks will have some sort of impact and lessen the puppies & rainbows nonsense. I so miss TTCAL where everyone tells it like it is.

The upside is that one of these days one of us will get tired of playing nice and just rolling our eyes and shit is going to get REAL over there really quick. I have hope! The November 2013 board is filled with PgALers and it was the best BMB I have ever been on. Given how many of us are now on April 2014, I think we can take over and lure some of the others into our cult. It won't be as cool as the Vag Squad, but we'll make due.

And all of the amazing women PgAL on the April board. At some point this has to change right!? I'm missing the "tell it like it is" side of TTCAL. All the white knighting and "well that's not what she meant" and "you're being dramatic" is driving me bonkers. I need to just step away. It's like a train wreck though, I don't know if I can stop looking! haha.

I am the exact same way with my BMB. I thought maybe it was because I am a "STM" now (or at least until 22 weeks) but now that you mention it I think it is because I know what can happen and I can't take all the super duper excited newbs. I want to scream whenever someone talks about almost being in the "safe zone". I want to yell at them that there is no safe zone.

Mine is getting better though, us "meaniefaces" have banded together somewhat and I think some of the P&R newbs have started to go away. I still read and post every day though, I guess I am just glutton for punishiment.

If people have a spirited debate about stuff, it doesn't mean they hate each other, or are mad at each other, or are unsupportive, it just means that people disagree and it can be educational to read through different sides of an argument.

I have a tough time sometimes. Especially hearing about the "safe zone"...yeah no such thing. I do think my bmb is getting a little better as we get farther along. The one that really got to me was someone saying they were jealous of everyone getting early scans. I didn't, but I wanted to write "no need to be jealous. Lossing my baby at 20.5 weeks is the worst experience of my life and now I can never relax. So early scans are for a reason. I'm not lucky." Sigh. Hopefully as we continue to progress it will get more real about how pregnancy is etc.

I'm on December 2012. It started out nuts but as @ boots said people learned. There have been several later losses already. I found people super supportive when I found out my baby has spina bifida. Give it time. Now it is fun for the posts about what to buy the baby, sex, etc
