Bear with me: here's a convoluted/confusing story:
So next week was supposed to be IUI #3, with the right timing and the better clinic. I had to fight between the two clinics (they work together because the old clinic is 1 hr from me and the new one is 3 hours away) to get the monitoring and timing and everything set up. And last week, we got a call saying the new clinic just realized that we need more extensive bloodwork than the old clinic had done so DH had to rush to the lab to give blood so it would be at the new clinic in time.
Today, the doc from the old clinic (who will be doing monitoring) calls to say no one has received DH's bloodwork from last week, Legally, the new clinic cannot do the IUI if they don't have the bloodwork screening results (as per Health Canada). So old clinic tells me unless the bloodwork is there by TOMORROW, they are cancelling my cycle (even though I'm pumped full of clomid and paid for my HCG). I made numerous phone calls to the local lab and then the processing lab (small-town - they send samples away to be processed) and find out that everything was sent except for DH's Hep B screen, which she says "sometimes they miss". So the nurse from the new clinic told me they will double check to see if it the lab just forgot to send it or if they forgot to screen for it. If it needs to be redone, there is no way for DH to be able to give blood and have it tested by tomorrow so we're out for this cycle. I've been waiting 4+ hours now for a call back to find out...
I know some of you have had much more devastating cancelled cycles and likely with more money invested, so I'm not trying to say this is the worst thing to ever happen, but GODDAMMIT I want this! As if IF wasn't stressful enough, I have to deal with clinic communication problems and lab errors! FML.
BTW, these are the only two clinics in our whole province, so changing clinics/RE is not an option.

Regularly access alternative medicine to supplement a lack of resources in our geographical area.- Three rounds of clomid (50mg days 3-7) were useless.
- IUI#1 w/clomid & HCG in May 2013, BFN.
- IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
- IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
- IVF#1 - Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
- IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.
Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .
Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October
