How Many Cloth Diapers to start with

Hi ladies, 

I have decided to do cloth diapers but I am unsure about just how many to start with especially not knowing if that particular brand will work out. I have decided on pocket diapers and maybe a few all in one's. I have a some brands picked out (FuzziBunz,Bumgenius, Bummis and Blueberry) but again just not sure do I buy a couple from each one or what, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you planning to use CDs right from the beginning, or are you using disposables until LO fits into one size pockets/AIOs?

    For the newborn stage, you want at LEAST 24 changes if you wash every other day (a lot of mamas suggest 30-36 changes, but we had 24 and never ran out of diapers).  But you'll need a separate "newborn stash" for this.

    After the newborn stage, I'd say at least 20 changes to wash every other day.

    So if you're doing both newborn and OS, you're looking at roughly 50 diapers...

    I was planning on starting with cloth from the very beginning. Thank you this give me a good starting point.
