Until, your kid comes back with a smart ass remark and you can't rebuttal.

A's class has a color code for behavior. Green is great. Yellow is needs to improve and use caution. Red is the worst you can get.

 

Me: Allie, why did you get yellow today?

Allie: I talk too much.

Me: You really need to work on that. (add a bunch of other parenting advice here)

Allie: Well, I can't control my mouth. You understand. You talk too much too. You can't control it either.

Me: :crickets:

    How old is Allie?

    My 3 year old told me the other night very dramatically that I "never let her do anything". I swear I had flash forward to about 13 years old..... oy.
