Construction party favors

doing construction for 3rd b day party. I picked up the home depot canvas tool belt/apron type thing.....

looking for some different ideas to put in them as favors. Kids age from 1-6 but i think im just going to do the same thing for everyone, is that lame or should i do something different for the specific ages?

    We did a construction theme, and in lieu of favors, we did a painting activity that could be taken home.  I bought some wooden cut-out teddy bears at a craft store for .29 each and also a pack of round magnets to glue to the back.  We used the aprons as smocks, and also found construction hard hats at the dollar store (saw them at the party store too).

    I set up a low table,  squirted washable paint in stryofoam bowls, bought paintbrushes (dollar store), and voila!  An activity that also serves as a favor.  I provided paper brown bags to take home smock, hard hat and painted craft.  It was definately a hit for all ages.  Even some adults got involved!
