My LO will go two 6 hour stretches. (eat at 11pm, wake her up to eat at 5am, then eats again at 11am) is this normal? or is she sleeping to much? She also sleeps about 4-6 hours during the day
That sounds great! I think as long as your LO has met or passed their birth weight it is fine to let them sleep without waking them to eat. My DD will be 7 weeks on Wednesday and usually goes to bed at 9:30, wakes around 2:30 and then again between 5-6:30.
They eat every 3-4 hours around the clock. They're almost 7w old, 1w adjusted and in the neighborhood of 7 to 8 lbs. I don't expect longer stretches for a little while.
I'm mobile so I can't see how old everyone's LOs are but I'd only be concerned if your LO is less than a month old and you are EBF. In that case bc your supply is still regulating, I may pay close attention to make sure your supply is good. I have a good friend whose LO slept a bunch in the beginning and her supply suffered.
My LO will be 2 months tomorrow. He for the past week had been doing 5 hour stretches! Last night I put him down at 11 and he was up at 7. Fed him and now he's back to sleep! He's doing good with a tight swaddle!
The last two nights we put our 5wk old LO in a tight swaddle and he slept from 11pm - 5am! He then usually sleeps from 5:30 - 8:30/9am. It's been great to get some sleep!
Our LO is 5 1/2 weeks old. He is very fussy and just wants to eat from about 8-11pm but then he goes down and sleeps till after 5am so he is giving us 6 - 6 1/2 hour stretches every night recently which has been heavenly!
I got five and a half hours... One. The past couple of days he's been going down at midnight and back up at 4. Don again at 5 and up at 8.

Mine is 6 weeks and mostly eats every 3-3.5 hours around the clock. We have had a few days this week with 5 hour stretches. My son didn't sleep more than 2.5 hours until he was closer to 3 months and even then it was only 3.5 hours so I'm pretty relieved!
Well I have a newborn not even a week old. Mostly it's been 2 hours. Last night she pulled a nap for 1 hour. I-) can't wait till the longer stretches come around!! [-O<
I'm right there with you AndreaVilla with our 2 week old. We're lucky to get her to sleep for 3 hours and its a battle for her to sleep at night. We're trying everything now that she's back up past birth weight (swaddling, different sleeping options/places). We were lucky with our first and she would sleep 5 hour stretches right off the bat and go right back to sleep.
this is very recent within the last couple days. She's always given me at least 2 hours.. but now her night hours are getting better as far as sleep goes.
DD is 8 weeks old. I put her down after bath, stories and nursing around 8 pm and she sleeps until about 6 am. Up to nurse and diaper change then she goes back down for another 3 hours or so. We have only been getting the really long stretches of sleep for a couple weeks now. She was getting no more than 5 hours up until 6 weeks, then we stretched to 6 or 7. The last week we have had between 8 and 10 hours every night
I think every baby is different and if they arent losing weight then they are fine. My little guys has his last bottle around 9 or 10. 11 at the latest then sleeps till about 5 or 6 a.m has a diaper change and a bottle and goes back to sleep till 8 ish then is usually awake most of the day with a couple or naps in between. He is going to be 2 months on sunday.
