felt horrible for DS :(

Well seems like ds is hard to go number 2...he is ebf and on solids.... he usually struggles to go but today was horrible when he was done I lifted up his legs to clean him up and I saw poop in there then all of of a sudden it just came all out and it ripped some blood vessels and he was crying bloody murder... I felt soo bad for him.... Not sure what to do should I make him an appt for his constant constipation? because I give him water and purree plums and it doesnt seem to help??

    Oh, wow.  Since there's blood involved (at least it sounds like it), I'd definitely make an appointment with the doc.  We've had good luck with stools being manageable with feeding LO solids with fiber--so pureed fruit with the skins left on in the purees, veggies, etc.

    ETA: I don't know if you're doing cereals, but we avoided rice cereal because it tends to make babies constipated.  We started with oatmeal for the reason that it has the extra fiber.  I only feed him rice cereal with starchy foods if he's got diarrhea.

    @TheEditor - thank you for the rice cereal thoughts. We just removed that from LOs meals because I have issues with brown rice at times & we wondered if could be same effect for LO.
