Those with sinus problems--bloody mucus?

My dd has been fighting a recurrent sinus infection. I noticed a little twinge of blood in her mucus the past few days but dd has been scratching at her nose so I thought it was a little cut or something. This morning she woke up with a ton of blood coming from both on both nostrils and goopy chunks of bloody mucus all down her nose. Luckily no fever, completely happy and playful but it was scary and I'm freaking out. While I wait for pedis office to open talk me off the roof.

    She'll be fine. I have a friend that used to deal with that. As soon as she started taking whatever the doc prescribed it cleared right up.

    But still, poor thing :(

    Yeah, she's fine and the blood is from ruptured vessels due to the infection. It wasn't a total waste of a trip since the pedis office is going to call the ent and push for an earlier appointment.
