Scooting!

DD started scooting yesterday. It was soooo cute, she was trying to get to DH pizza so she'd stick her butt up in the air then scoot a little with her head and do this until she got to him. Any other babies scooting yet?

Re: Scooting!

  • Oh yes! DS was scooting around in a circle on his tummy today. Then he got frustrated that he couldn't go any farther...funny boy! :)

  • He sort of scoots on his back -- it is quite amazing actually.  I'll put him to bed and the next morning his feet and head have reversed positions and he's at the opposite end of the crib!

  • Ds is never in the same position in his crib from the way I put him down so I think he is!
  • She circle scoots on her back when on her playmat.  THe other day I caught her trying to pull herself up using one of the hanging toys!

  • Eli has been scooting in circles on his tummy since he was about 8 weeks old, and has been moving on his back since about that time too (maybe a little earlier). He isn't going forward or backward on his tummy really yet, he has a couple of times gone forward. He is moving a lot, rolling and scooting in circles on his tummy, and trying really really hard to go forward or backward.
  • R isn't even rolling yet...now I feel like we're behind!

He's not behind by any means, the ones that are scooting (like my LO) are just early scooters. Elisha much prefers to be on the floor, and has since about 8/9 weeks old. With me trying to open a preschool the only way I get any work done is to have my laptop in his room and give him all the tummy/floor time he wants.
