Windex for removing rings?

I was planning on taking my rings off today... got one off but the other isn't budging.  Talked to my mom on the phone today and the subject came up.  She says she was told that Windex would help.  Spraying it on your finger makes your finger contract (?)  I brought this up today while making small talk during my ultrasound, and the tech said she had heard the same thing!

Any of you ladies heard of this?  Tried it?  What do you think?

    It absolutely works. That's how I get mine off.
    Never heard of it until I went to the jewelry store to get my ring checked and cleaned. Works so much better than anything else.

    This was just part of the Wedding Rings discussion yesterday. I think it was sleepy33 who worked for a jeweler and swears by this trick. Give it a shot.

    Do it, it works. My jeweler suggested it and it is better then lotion because the lotion gunks up your ring.

    When we were getting sized for rings when we were getting married I got stuck in a ring!  He just sprayed me and told me to wait a second and it came right off.  I swear by it now!
