finally a diagnoses

Hi Ladies, Haven't been on here in months. Wanted to give an update. Two months ago started to have "pelvic pain" (vaginal) and severe periods. I've always had super painful periods but never this bad. Went to a new gyn he recommended laparoscopy. Had a diagnostic lap done 2 weeks ago, he found endometriosis. My doctor was able to get rid of all of it for now. He said it was at a moderate level and is probably THE cause of our 5+ year infertility. I'm cautiously optimistic for the cycles to come. It was so relieving to finally have an answer to why this could be happening to us.  I would love to hear how any of you did after your lap. I've been reading horror stories about the first period after the lap. What are your experiences? Thanks for listening. Peace and Love to all of you.

Apr. 2011 HSG good SA good Labwork good Diagnosis: Unexplained Infertility 
Nov. 2011 Clomid/HCG/TI/Progesterone=BFN 
Dec. 2011 Clomid Overstim cancelled cycle 
Feb. 2013: Recheck SA-still good Clomid/HCG/IUI cancelled, TI instead=BFN 
Mar. 2013: IUI 1 non-med cycle=BFN,
Apr. 2013- IUI 2 non med cycle=BFN  
Aug. 2013-Diagnostic lap done=Diagnosis s Endometriosis 
Sept.2013-Non med cycle, TI=BFN
Oct. 2013-Non med cycle, TI=BFN
Nov. 2013-Non med cycle, TI, praying for our miracle

    I am in a similar situation. Had my lap done in May and they found stage 3 endo. Frustrating to just find out now after 2+ years trying ... I'm sure you feel the same way. My first period after was not too bad and they have continued to get better with less cramps. I used to not be able to get out of bed because of such bad cramps and the last few months after the surgery have been much less painful. Keep in mind it can throw your cycle off. I was a little late the first cycle after the lap and this month I never got my period and had to take Provera, which has never happened to me before. Best of luck to you!
    Married since 2005. TTC since August 2011. Dx: Unexplained / Endometriosis. Age: Me, 28 and DH, 28
    March - July 2012: Clomid
    October & November 2012: Follistim + IUI #1 & 2
    February & March 2013: Follistim + IUI #3 & 4
    May 2013: Laparoscopy completed. Stage 3 endometriosis removed.
    August & Sept 2013: Follistim + IUI #5 & #6

    November 2013: IVF, transferred 1= 1st ever BFP! EDD 8/10/2014

    Thanks for your response. Wow I bet you were worried when you didn't get your period. Did you think you were pregnant?

    The first one or two periods after my lap were bad, but I think since I expected it and took strong pain reliever right away, I got through it just fine - no horror stories.  By now my periods are SO much better, and it's amazing how much endo was affecting other things for me, like digestive issues.  And I was worried my cycles would be out of whack, but I stayed pretty much on schedule...I think everyone is different, especially depending on where the endo was located/removed.  Good luck!

    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
