Sex after c section

Have all of you who had c sections had an easy time with sex? I was given the clear by the doc to go back to my normal life now. My hub and I tried today and it hurt. I was surprised by this as I didn't give birth vaginally. Anyone experience this?

I had a C-section and was totally shocked also. It is related to hormones especially if you are breastfeeding. Use lots of lube. It took several times before it did not hurt. It did hurt less and less with each time.

DH would like to, but I am not yet cleared (only 2 weeks PP).

When do they usually clear you? 6 weeks?

We tried around 10 weeks. It hurt worse than when I was a virgin. Lots of lube and keep tring. It gets better. I bf though so need the lube

It hurt a lot!! We used lots of lube and it didn't help. I was very suprised by it. Hoping it gets better each time! I'm 7 weeks pp.

It hurt for me after dd1 and took some time to get back go normal.

The first few times were horrible but it did get back to normal for us. Breastfeeding made it harder because it made be dry down there but I would leak milk from my boobs. You need some good for play but time is not easy to come by with a newborn.
