Another multiples vent: Dear SIL, stop telling me you know what it's like to have twins because your kids are two years apart. Stop it, just stop!!

As SIL points out, you are constantly torn with two or more singletons, but stop telling me you know what it's like to have twins!

    Lol...Someone told me that her mom had her, then her sister 16 months later and then her brother 13 months later and said to me, "She may as well have had triplets because thats what we were like when we were younger...but just in different stages." My reply, "Oh so triplets run in your family?" "No, why?" "Well you said that having 3 kids in 3 years was like having triplets so I thought you knew what it was like to have them..." She got the point.

    Sorry about your SIL though. People always have ALL of the answers.

    A woman at the grocery store today told me that her 1st grandbaby is due in December.. So she knows exactly what it's like... This was during the milk debacle I wrote about. Yeah..

    My mom has 2 kids 11 months apart and always said it's like having twins. My parents babysat this weekend so we could get away for our anniversary. When we got home she said unless you have twins, you have no idea what it's like having them. She said she'll never say it was like twins again because in all honesty, it's not!

    I'm not looking forward to these comments! I get them tons now! (OH, my sister has 2 under 2... that's like twins...)

    I have many friends who've had/currently have 2u2 or even 3u3 and not one of them has tried to compare it to having twins. They know better! Having closely spaced kids has its own challenges, but it is NOT the same. I guess people are just trying to make conversation sometimes but really? 

    If having closely spaced kids is just like having twins, then I guess once these babies are born it'll be "just like" having triplets since DS will only be 18-19 months old. lol.

    grrr those comments aggravate me!! It's not the same at all!!! Its not like I want to complain every second about my life being way harder by why do people even have to bring it up....then it makes you want to set them straight!! 
    Or I love the ones who say "well it's actually easier since they have each other to play with, my kids being a year apart makes it harder for me".......really?

    I love my one co worker thinking it'll be easier to have two boys then a girl and a not because boys always like the same thing. lol
