Battling Fatigue?

I'm 26 weeks with twins and for the last 3-4 days or so it takes all my energy just to stay awake!  Did anybody deal with extreme fatigue around this time?  I had read (for singleton) that it was normal in the 3rd tri, but I'm not there yet.  I'm okay dealing with it now (spending a lot of time napping or just resting) but I return to work on Wednesday and don't know how I'll manage working 40+ hours a day being this fatigued.  Suggestions on battling the fatigue would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Battling Fatigue?

  • I'm 27 weeks and it seems like the fatigue really kicked in a few days ago. It takes all my energy to just get thru the day and I'm not even working. I definitely didn't have this exhaustion with my singleton pregnancy.

  • I remember hitting the "fatigue wall" around 25 weeks -- it took all my energy to stay awake, eventually I just caved and took multiple naps a day. Not sure if there is anything you can do to fight the fatigue during a work day but I wish you luck!

  • Ya, youre definitely not alone. I, too, hit the fatigue wall right around 26-27 weeks. It was horrible. Im now 32w4d and Im still feeling it. I hit a "tired" wall with my two previous singleton pregnancies but that was nothing compared to what I have felt this trimester. No advice or suggestions, sorry, but good luck. Youre definitely not alone.
  • Well, at least I'm not alone!! Lol ;)

  • Ask them to check your iron levels and eat more iron rich goods and fibre! Drinks lots of water and rest!!
